VIDEO: Intense Fire/High Winds; Commercial Building Fire on Howard St Near Thomas St, Buffalo, New York


4th Alarm Fire, 463 Howard St, Buffalo, Ny (Firefighterben043).

Buffalo firefighters (New York) responded about 3:00 p.m. Tuesday to a commercial building at 463 Howard Street. Embers from the fire may have started house fires on Metcalfe and Thomas. The fire department response was elevated to a 4th Alarm. Operations went defensive before collapse of the two-story building.

Winds on Tuesday were from the west at about 21 MPH and gusting to near 30 MPH, according to observations at Greater Buffalo International Airport.

No word on any injuries.
