LAFD Responds to Pen Mar Golf for Plane Crash Piloted by Actor Harrison Ford

Los Angeles firefighters responded about 2:20 p.m. Thursday to the Penmar Golf Course in Mar Vista, California after a Ryan Aeronautical ST3Kr aircraft crash-landed on a golf course.

Hollywood actor Harrison Ford crash-landed the World War II training plane at Penmar Golf Course, Mar Vista, California near Los Angeles.

He was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition. He is reported to have several gashes to his head. A firefighter spokesman described the injuries to a 70-year-old male as fair-to-moderate.

Ford was piloting what appears to be a vintage 2-seater fighter plane Thursday when he crashed into Penmar golf course in Mar Vista near Venice, CA.

Two doctors who happened to be at the golf course immediately treated the actor, and fire-rescue personnel arrived a short time later.

Santa Monica and Los Angeles police were on the scene to preserve the scene for investigation.
