Horse Injured in Horse Trailer Crash on 60 Freeway Near Pomona, California


VIDEO: A horse suffered minor injuries when its transportation horse trailer tipped in a one-vehicle crash.

California Highway Patrol responded to a crash of a horse trailer about 6:00 am. Sunday. A horse was injured after a truck hauling a horse trailer lost control and crashed on the 60 Freeway near Pomona.

The horse inside the trailer suffered minor injuries, but was able to stand and walk. The horse was placed in another horse trailer that arrived on the scene.

The crash occurred at about 6 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the 60 Freeway near the 71 Freeway. Two horses were in the trailer that flipped over. Two lanes were temporarily closed, but reopened in about an hour. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
