Toddler Rescued After Sitting on Second-Story Roof Near Gutter After Crawling Out of Third-Dormer Window in Philadelphia


Firefighters rescued a toddler from the roof of a Philadelphia home on Monday as well as another boy who trying to climb out the home’s window.

Firefighters responded to the 4700 block of Leiper Street, Philadelphia and rescued a toddler from the roof of a Philadelphia home on Monday after the child was spotted sitting precariously near the edge of the roof. He apparently climbed out a third-story dormer window nearby. Police and firefighters also secured another boy who was trying to climb out the home’s window.

Both children were transported to St. Christopher’s Hospital for observation.

Both of childs’ mothers were charged after police say they left their children home alone.
