Pre-Arrival Video House Fire North Portland Structure Fire with Interview


VIDEO of house fire that started at about 4:20 p.m. Saturday in the backyard of this North Portland residence with interview of resident.

Portland Fire & Rescue firefighters responded at 4:17 p.m. to a house fire at 9134 N. Polk Ave. Heavy smoke was coming from the back of the home with flames showing in the side yard, which extending to the neighbor’s yard and shed. the home on the C-side was threatened, according to Portland Fire & Rescue.

Additional crews were requested at 4:22 p.m. because the fire spread to multiple structures. Fifty firefighters quickly brought the fire under control while opening the roof and working an interior attack.
