A neighbor’s perspective and panic as neighbors warn fire victims to get out of a house where the third floor was fully-involved with fire blowing out the front window.


Wood stove pipe causes multi-alarm fire in Blackstone, Massachusetts (Providence Fire Videos).

Blackstone Dispatch center received multiple calls reporting a house fire at 165 Main Street shortly before 6:00 am on Tues, Feb 26, 2013. Heavy fire was showing from the third floor on arrival and a 2nd alarm was immediately transmitted.

Tenants were rushing out of the house, carrying items from the house as firefighters arrived. Firefighters initially fought the fire in defensive mode with all occupants evacuated from the house.

An exposure house next door also was evacuated. The cause of the fire is believed to be caused by a wood stove pipe that was on the side of the house.
