Cape May Police Officer Scott Krissinger responded about 6:00 p.m. Tuesday November 26, 2013 to a pickup truck fire on Sunset Boulevard in Cape May.
Krissinger pulled Gerald K. Ferrill, 61, of Mays Landing, out of the pickup truck and dragged him to safety while flames and smoke were showing from the truck. Krissinger also confirmed that there were no other passengers in the truck — a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado.
Smoke in the cab apparently caused Ferrill to lose consciousness. The may have been related to a flat tire.
