Extra Alarm Fire Destroys House and Camper on Elm St, Everett, Massachusetts


Video shows heavy fire at the rear of a multi-family home built in 1900.

Everett Fire Department responded about 6:00 a.m. Thursday to a house fire at 187 Elm Street Everett, Massachusetts. A resident who is blind and missing a leg was rescued from the home. Firefighters contained the fire to the house and a camper, but three neighboring homes and three vehicles parked at the residence received damage.

One firefighter suffered a back injury, and was transported to a local hospital.

The home was a wood frame about 100 years old.
