Wayne Township (Indiana) After Fire Engine Windshield Hit by Ice

A Wayne Township firefighter was transported to Indiana University West Hospital Tuesday after he was hit by a windshield that was knocked out from ice that flew off of a truck. The accident occurred on March 26, 2013 near 21st Street and Girls School Road, Indianapolis.

Wayne Township Fire Department provides fire and EMS protection in 36 square miles on the west side of Indianapolis. Wayne Township is one of nine townships in Marion County, Indiana. As of the 2010 census, Wayne Township population was 136,828. Marion County population is was 903,393 in 2010.
