7-Alarm Fire Destroys Three Vacation Beach Homes, Sea Isle City, New Jersey


A fire destroyed three beachfront homes on the Jersey Shore Friday evening. No injuries reported.

Sea Isle City Fire Department firefighters responded at 4:27 p.m. Friday to the 7800 block of Pleasure Avenue and requested mutual aid before they arrived on the scene. Firefighters from 14 communities provided mutual aid. In addition to the three homes destroyed, eleven homes nearby were discovered with heat damage from the burning vacation homes.

The official population of Sea Isle City, New Jersey is 2,114, but the summer population from Memorial Day to Labor Day is about 40,000.
