Suspected DUI Driver Jumps Curb, Injures 5 Pedestrians, Hits Vehicles, Forever 21 Store, 34th St, NYC


CBS New York: Suspected DUI hits five pedestrians, other vehicles on 34th Street, and crashes into Forever 21 store wall.

NYPD and FDNY responded about 9:00 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a crash with pedestrians, vehicles and a storefront involved at 50 West 34th Street in Herald Square.

rear-ended a Subaru Forester on 34th Street between Sixth Avenue and Seventh Avenue, then backed up and hit the Forester again,

drove the wrong way in a lane on 34th Street,

clipped a car at the Sixth Avenue intersection,

hit a Chevy Impala head-on,

drove across a sidewalk and hit five pedestrians,

hit the front plate-glass window and wall at Forever 21 — pinning one pedestrian between the Ford Mustang and the front of the store.

Witnesses reported that some of the pedestrians were thrown into the air, and all were reported to be seriously injured, according to an FDNY spokesperson.
