Neighbors Left with Questions After Seeing Response Fatal Cape Home Explosion


A fatal explosion of a compressed gas canister in Cape Coral had the police and fire departments on the scene Saturday night.

Police and firefighters responded and surrounded a home about 7:30 p.m. Saturday July 23, 2016 in the block of 200 SE 31 Street after an explosion occurred in the home. A man died in the home in southeast Cape Coral apparently when a compressed air or gas canister exploded in the home.

Cape Coral police, the State Fire Marshal investigates and the Bomb squad were on the scene.
