Judy Clarke Joins Dzhokhar Tsarnaev; Widow Katherine Russell Cooperates with Investigator, Doesn’t Speak to Press


FBI agents investigating the Boston Marathon bombings have visited the Rhode Island home of dead suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s in-laws and carried away several bags.

Katherine Russell has been staying with her parents, as federal investigators carried away several bags from the house in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Her attorney Amato DeLuca says she’s doing everything she can to assist with the investigation.

Judy Clarke joined the defense team of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who is charged with using a weapon of mass destruction at the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013.

Three people were killed and 260 people were injured at the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

Judy Clarke is an American criminal defense attorney who practices law in San Diego, California and has served as a public defender in many high-profile cases throughout the United States, including the defense of the Unabomber and Jared Loughner, shooter at the 2011 Tucson shooting. Clarke has previously served as President of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Clarke also serves as a Professor of Practice at Washington and Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Virginia.
