Utility Pickup Truck Goes Airborne, Nearly Hits State Trooper, Johnson County Sheriff Stopped on Shoulder


Utility truck goes airborne after being rear-end by semi-trailer truck — narrowly misses a Johnson County Sheriff’s deputy on a traffic stop.

A dramatic video shows a truck go airborne truck — flying between two stopped cars after being rear-ended on Interstate 80.

Two sheriff’s deputies and a state trooper were on the scene of the traffic stop.

Police were working on another crash when a semi-trailer truck hit the utility pickup truck, which propelled it flying between a sheriff’s deputy vehicle and a state patrol cruiser.

The Iowa state trooper was transported to the hospital where he was treated and released for minor injuries.
