VIDEO: Swift Water Rescue in Los Angeles River; Homeless Couple and Firefighter Rescued

Los Angeles firefighters responded about 10:06 a.m. Friday to a swift water rescue at 2876 North Glendale Boulevard. A homeless couple was rescued sequentially after firefighters received a report that two people were clinging to trees. One person was rescued and transported while search continued for the second victim.

Both victims were transported and listed in fair condition.

The incident occurred occurred near the Echo Park neighborhood, just northwest of Dodger Stadium.
