Apartment Fire on East Benmore Ln in Anaheim, California


Firefighters in Anaheim, California are battling a three-alarm fire at an apartment complex. Several people were forced out of their homes. CBSN’s Vladimir Duthiers and Elaine Quijano report.

Anaheim firefighters responded about 5:30 a.m. to the 1500 block of East Benmore Lane. No injuries were reported, but at 40 people were displaced. A 9-year-old child, who was diagnosed with cancer three months ago was among the displaced residents.

Fullerton and Orange County firefighters assisted Anaheim firefighters.
