One of the best things you can do is drink water throughout the workday. Drinking water provides you with much-needed energy, increases brain power, and boosts your immune system. Avoid sugary drinks such as soda, as they do not have nearly the same benefits as water does. While everyone is different, experts recommend the average person drink eight 8-ounce glasses a day. Regularly Disinfect Your Area
Sickness spreads easily, especially at work. Another tip to stay healthy at work is to disinfect your work area regularly with Clorox wipes. Wipe down everything from your desk and keyboard to the office phone and door handles.
Take Frequent Breaks
To maintain sanity and deal with stressful situations, take a break. Employers should allow you to take a 15-minute break to readjust and refocus. During this time, consider going outside and taking a walk or playing a board game with your co-workers to keep yourself in the right state of mind. If you’re stressed, you’re more likely to get sick.

A large part of why we get sick is due to a lack of proper nutrients, which has a lot to do with what we eat. Make it a habit to start the day with a nutritious breakfast and remember to pack a healthy lunch. You should also try to snack on fruits, nuts, and other healthy options instead of sweets and chips.
Restrict Caffeine Intake
While coffee gets many people through the workday, there comes a point where you need to cut yourself off. Getting seven to eight hours of sleep a night plays a huge part in not getting sick, and coffee and monster drinks can get in the way of that. A Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine study says you should, “refrain from substantial caffeine use for a minimum of 6 hours prior to bedtime” to make sure it doesn’t affect your sleep.
