“Super Extreme DUI” at Walmart Vehicle-Pedestrian Hit-and-Run, Tempe, Arizona

Tempe, Arizona police and firefighter/paramedics responded to a hit-and-run pedestrian incident involving a pedestrian at a Walmart at 800 East Southern Avenue.

The offender, identified as Christy Kupper, age 31, drove into the Walmart parking lot while fleeing a previous hit-and-run crash. While driving through the parking lot at a high rate of speed Kupper, collided her white sedan with a red parked car — causing her white sedan to fish-tail the rear-end of her vehicle left. The fish-tail maneuver hit a parked minivan and the victim.

The victim was transported a local hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Kupper was arrested and charged with six counts of endangerment, aggravated assault, super extreme DUI, and hit & run.
