Seven Oaks Apartments 3-Alarm Fire in Odenton, Maryland with Heavy Fire Venting Through the Roof

Anne Arundel County firefighters responded about 10:00 a.m. Friday to fire showing from the third floor of an apartment unit in the 2100 block of Peaceful Way. Heavy fire from the third-floor apartment and the common attic space.

The 3-alarm fire damaged at least 10 units in the three-story garden-style apartment complex, which started in the third-floor apartment. The cause of the fire was unknown Friday.

Fire through the roof at Seven Oaks Apartments at Peaceful Way and Blue Water Boulevard.

No sprinkler system was installed in the apartment complex, because construction occurred before laws required a sprinkler system.

Odenton, Marhland (pop. 37,132 in 2010) is located about 21 miles northeast of Washington D.C., and about 14 miles southwest of Baltimore.
