Three Trucks on Fire at Central LA Recycling Plant, Boyle Heights, Los Angeles


LOS ANGELES – Three big rigs catch fire at Los Angeles recycling center. Fire stations 14, 17 & 9 quickly put out the fire. No injuries were reported.

Los Angeles City firefighters responded May 18, 2016 to a fire involving three semi-trailer trucks that were fully-involved with fire.

BOYLE HEIGHTS – Three trucks were fully-involved in the rear lot of Central LA Recycling. The three big rigs caught fire in darkness early in the morning. According to LOUDLABS, LAFD arrived on scene when only two were on fire. The fire quickly spread to the third rig. Two of the rigs trailers were empty one was full of garbage. Initially, the cause of the fire was unknown, and LAFD is investigating.

Boyle Heights is a neighborhood southeast of downtown Los Angeles.
